Lilith A.I. Theme Music

Every good show has good theme music, though sci-fi shows usually have no lyrics. But I was listening to my STYX: Greatest Hits CD last night and I think I have the perfect theme song for our emerging sci-fi drama -- "Come Sail Away".

For those unfamiliar with STYX, or spent the 70's too stoned to remember, here are the lyrics. (Hell, I was five years old when The Grand Illusion came out and even *I* know this song!)

Lyrics to: Come Sail Away
Original Album: The Grand Illusion
Written by: Dennis DeYoung
Lead Vocals: Dennis DeYoung

I'm sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
I've got to be free, free to face the life that's ahead of me
On board, I'm the captain, so climb aboard
We'll search for tomorrow on every shore
And I'll try, oh Lord, I'll try to carry on

I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold
But we'll try best that we can to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies
Singing come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

Lilith A.I. Theme Music

Rocking her son in her favorite old rocking chair. Music playing softly in her heart. All the world is content in the still of the night, flickered by a single candle light. A soft lullabye comes from mothers lips and her rythym is in her heart beat.
Contently her son sleeps unaware of the dangers out of his mothers arms. Not even the scariest monsters will dare come close when her song fills the room.

PILGRIM
By Enya

Pilgrim, how you journey
on the road you chose
to find out where the winds die
and where the stories go.
All days come from one day
that you must know,
you cannot change what is over
but only where you go.

One way leads to diamonds
one way leads to gold,
another leads you only
to everything you're told.
In you heart you wonder
which of these are true;
the road that leads to nowhere,
the road that leads to you.

Will you find the answer
in all you say and do?
Will you find the answer
in you?

Each heart is a pilgrim
each one wants to know
the reason why the winds die
and where the stories go?
Pilgrim, in your journey
you may travel far,
for pilgrim its a long way
to find out who you are...

Pilgrim, its a long way
to find out who you are...

Pilgrim, its a long way
to find out who you are...

DEDICATION

I'd like to dedication this small exert of the story to my mom.
Without her loving arms, I wouldn't have tried to become the loving mother that I am now to my own dearest son, Bobby.

I love and miss you very much mom
And Bobby misses his Nana.

I am most deeply touched by that beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing it with us. If I can be equally moved, it is by a song that sings to me as a father to my sweet Alexandra Lilith (yes, that is her real name). It's Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle.

There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she's daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life,
Oh, but most of all, for...

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin' little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony, daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet sixteen today,
She's looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember...

Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin' little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, daddy, but if you don't mind,
I'm only going to kiss you on the cheek this time."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve her love every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.

All the precious time ... Like the wind, the years go by
Precious butterfly ... Spread your wings and fly

She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her,
She asked me what I'm thinking, and I said "I'm not sure,
I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
Then she leaned over... and gave me...

Butterfly kisses, with her mama there
Sticking little flowers all up in her hair
"Walk me down the aisle, daddy, it's just about time"
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, daddy?" "Daddy, don't cry."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve her love every morning, and butterfly kisses

I couldn't ask God for more. Man, this is what love is.
I know I've gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...
