stand decorated externally, only outwardly putting on the front of joy and glory but underneath it all I just want to be left alone and lately, I feel artificial but still, I stand there quietly wearing your gaudy decorations your flashing, cheerful lights and hoping that I can be part of something that might bring joy to your family if I can (C) 2002 Dan Shaurette

Re: The Christmas Tree (12/16/2002)
You are my cherished peach tree in my sacred garden. You cool me, soothing my seared skin safely away from the sun. Looking up a dazzling display of shadows and light dance across my warm cheeks, a colidascope through the leaves. Above me you hover, arms dancing for me in the breeze, roots beneath solid, though sometimes you may not believe so.
You are cherished in my heart and in my arms, my Beloved.

Interesting. :)
I never thought of what a Christmas tree must be thinking.
To be cut down, and still, in spite of the fact that it's life is not long remaining, trying to give joy. Hmm. :)
Thank you!
